Medical Grants for Medical Students
Grants Dept.
Medical grants can really help lessen the burden of rising medical student costs. A typical med student can owe as much as $100,000 by the time they finish college, often times even more. Scholarships and Free Grants that do not have to be paid back are ideal. There are several available, but it takes a little searching to find them and apply for them.

American Medical Student Association
There are over 20 different grants awarded for medical student projects by the American Medical Student Association's Local Project Grants Award Program. These are for projects that focus on community based medicine by medical student body groups. These grants are not designed for the individual student, but rather groups of students that use this money to organize projects that help the community while learning valuable medical skills. As with all grants and financial aid the first step is to fill out the FAFSA form and determine first of all if you are in need of financial help. All grants are based on your financial need for them, this does not mean that you should ever falsify information to receive them. The implications of doing so are very harsh. So be honest and apply for any and all grants that you qualify for.
